      Recent damage to El Campo's Little League park may mean big changes for sports of all ages. Moderate wind caused a light pole at the Boys American field to fall Saturday. It was the second light pole to fall in less than a month.

Sophomores make strong season start
      Ricebird sophomores made a 2-2 start to the baseball season after games against St. Joseph, Columbia, Katy and Waller. EC vs. St. Joseph The Ricebirds pulled away with a 12-4 win Feb. 18 over the Flyers at Victoria. The team combined for 15 hits and 5 walks.
