Tax Office Closing Early Friday
The El Campo and Wharton branches of the Wharton County Tax Office will close at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19. Staff will be undergoing training, according to Tax Assessor-Collector Patrick Kubala. Both offices will re-open for regular hours Monday, Jan. 22.
Forms Available For February Edition
The El Campo Leader-News will feature Sweethearts for Beta Sigma Phi sororities, Catholic Daughters, El Campo VFD and Auxiliary and the Pilot Club in a February issue. The form is available at our office or can be emailed by calling 543-3363. Forms and a color 4x6 or larger photo must be in our office by Monday, Feb. 5.

100 Club To Host Annual Membership Meeting
The 100 Club of Wharton County, Inc. will host its Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 18, at the El Campo Civic Center. ECMH Hosts Lab Screening
ECMH will have a cholesterol/triglyceride & glucose screening Thursday, Jan. 18. Prices are $5, $10 or $15 depending on which test you take. It is recommended that you do not eat or drink for 12 hours before testing. Register in the ECMH front lobby on Thursday, Jan. 18 or call 578-5185 to make an appointment.

Sign Up For Scholarship Basketball Tournament
The 1st annual scholarship basketball tournament will be held Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Willie Bell Park in memory of DeAndre Bluntson “Pooda Wooda”. The entry fee for a team of seven, ages eighteen and up, is $100 and due by Feb. 1. The entry fee for ages 12-14 and 15-17 is $50 per team and also due by February 1. Manna Meals Offers Food, Fellowship
Manna Meals is offered at no cost every Monday and Thursday from 5 - 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
