ECISD’s Life Skills Classes Annual Holiday Bazaar will be held on Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at Christ Lutheran Church, 1401 Ave. I. There will be holiday crafts, baked goods, decorations and gift items.

El Campo High School’s STARS (drama department) will present Addams Family 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18 in the high school auditorium. Pre-sale tickets are $8 and available at the ECHS principal’s office or from any cast or crew member. Tickets can also be purchased 45 minutes prior to the start time at the auditorium ticket booth for $10.

Prairie Switch Riders To Hold Toy Run

Prairie Switch Riders annual Wharton Co. Toy Run will be Sunday, Nov. 19 at St. John’s Parish Hall, 1843 CR 469, El Campo. The Community Wide Thanksgiving Church Service will be held this year at the First Baptist Church, in El Campo, on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited. Our Community choir rehearsal will be at 6 p.m. Anyone can come and sing with us.

In an effort to remember veterans this Christmas, Wreaths Across America will be held locally at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4609 N. State Hwy. 71 starting at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16. Register For Boys & Girls Club Basketball League

The Boys & Girls Club is accepting registration for the upcoming basketball league, for ages 6 - 12 (age on 08/31/17). Registration fee of $80 for the program will be accepted until Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. Late registration fee of $20 on Nov. 20 and 21. Forms are available online at or at the club office, 713 Fahrenthold. TOPS Meeting On Weekly Basis

TOPS Club, Inc. (Take Pounds Off Sensibly) will have a weekly chapter meeting from 9 - 10 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Northside Education Center, Room 105. Meetings focus on nutrition, exercise, motivation and wellness education. Those who are interested are welcome to attend.

Heritage Center Offers Exercise, Bingo

The Heritage Center, a non-profit organization with a $50 membership fee, is open to men and women 50 and older. The center, open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., offers use of exercise machines, pool table, dominoes, lending library, lap top computers, games, bingo and opportunities to volunteer. Covered dish luncheons are held once a month. The center is located at 803 Fahrenthold.

Bulletin Board is a community service to promote one-time events for nonprofit organizations. The Leader-News requests only one representative submit items with contact information. Items will be edited. Event submissions will run no more than four editions immediately prior to the event as space permits.
