Myatt Elementary will have their Veterans Day Program on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 8:45 a.m. Coffee and pastries will be served to veterans and their guests. Library To Host Fall Garden Program

The El Campo Branch Library invites Debra Peterson, DSG Nursery, to share her knowledge of colorful flowers to incorporate in one’s garden in the fall and spring. Proceeds will benefit St. Philip School Teachers’ Supply Fund. Tickets given away in August from the local radio station will still be honored since the event was canceled due to Hurricane Harvey.

St. Mary’s Fall Festival Set For Nov. 12

St. Mary’s Youth of Nada will hold their annual Variety Shoot and Youth Fall Festival Sunday, Nov. 12 at St. Mary’s Community Center. The variety shoot will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and the festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Hamburgers, chili, pastries and refreshments will be available. Activities include bingo, cake walk, silent auction, kid’s games and a raffle drawing at 6:30 p.m.

Register For Boys & Girls Club Basketball League

The Boys & Girls Club is accepting registration for the upcoming basketball league, for ages 6 - 12 (age on 08/31/17). Registration fee of $80 for the program will be accepted until Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. Late registration fee of $20 on Nov. 20 and 21. Forms are available online at or at the club office, 713 Fahrenthold. Heritage Center Offers Exercise, Bingo

The Heritage Center, a non-profit organization with a $50 membership fee, is open to men and women 50 and older. The center, open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., offers use of exercise machines, pool table, dominoes, lending library, lap top computers, games, bingo and opportunities to volunteer. Covered dish luncheons are held once a month. The center is located at 803 Fahrenthold.
