Carolynn Unique Jones, 37, of Missouri City was arrested at 1:38 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25 for abandoning or endangering a child by placing them in imminent danger of bodily injury, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana. Her vehicle was involved in a minor wreck on the West Loop. Police found cocaine, marijuana and other drugs inside her vehicle. Jones was processed and transferred to the Wharton County Jail.
Vince Cortez Jr., 19, of Bay City was arrested at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23 on a warrant for theft. He was processed and transferred to the county jail the next day. A second warrant for theft was levied against him the next day. At the jail, Cortez posted $2,000 in bonds and was released the same day.
Manny Richard Gaona, 32, of 410 N. Wharton was arrested at 4:04 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police were dispatched to a Lundy Street disturbance involving a handgun. No injuries were reported. Gaona was processed and transferred to county jail the next day.
Jaimie Leigh Reagan, 28, of 808.5 Hoskins Broadway was arrested at 4:05 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as a result of the same disturbance. She too was processed and transferred to county jail the next day.

Two cellphones, valued collectively at $1,400, were stolen from the 1600 block of South Mechanic on Aug. 18.
Burglars kicked in a door in the 300 block of Alamo sometime between 8 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28. No items were reported stolen from the home.
A hit-and-run was reported in the 700 block of Nelson around 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28. Additional information was not available as of presstime.
County Jail Bookings
Juan Alberto Medrano-Rico, 55, of 1010 Owens Private LP Hwy. 71 in Altair faces a warrant for possession of more than 50 pounds of marijuana. He was arrested at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23 by the Wharton County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office.
Jonathan Lewis Melchor, 20, of 416 Mayfield faces a marijuana possession charge after being arrested by Wharton PD at 12:08 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. Processed at the county jail, he posted a $2,500 bond and was released the same day.
