For Thanksgiving Feast
Volunteers are needed to help with the Community Wide Thanksgiving Dinner at the Civic Center. There is a need for desserts. They can be bought desserts if there is not time to bake one. Desserts need to be brought to the Civic Center early on Thanksgiving Day. If you will furnish a dessert please call 637-1459 or 543-1147 so we can get an accurate count. Thank you for your help.

The El Campo Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture is accepting nominations for the 2017 Citizen of the Year. The Citizen of the Year is a lifetime achievement award. Bake Sale For Homeless Pets Held Today
A bake sale to help offset veterinary bills the City of Wharton Animal Pound has incurred at a local clinic will be held from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Wharton Feed and Supply, 1105 N. Fulton, in Wharton. There will be pickles, breakfast tacos, cookies, cakes and other goodies for sale.

Prairie Switch Riders annual Wharton Co. Toy Run will be Sunday, Nov. 19 at St. John’s Parish Hall, 1843 CR 469, El Campo. Community Wide Thanksgiving Feast
The Community Wide Thanksgiving Feast will be Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23 at the El Campo Civic Center starting at 11 a.m. Volunteers are still needed that day. Meal is free and for the entire community. Register For Boys & Girls Club Basketball League
The Boys & Girls Club is accepting registration for the upcoming basketball league, for ages 6 - 12 (age on 08/31/17). Registration fee of $80 for the program will be accepted until Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. Late registration fee of $20 on Nov. 20 and 21.
