Care Packages For Soldiers

GI Joe & Jane * Everyday Heroes is collecting care packages for soldiers at Prosperity Bank, Elks Lodge 1749, 96 Country, R&R Printing and KULP Radio until Friday, Nov. 30. Remembering Fallen Soldiers

With Holiday Wreaths

Wreaths Across America places wreaths on the graves of our nation’s soldiers. Locally, Comfort Wood Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is heading up the project. Heritage Center Offers Exercise, Bingo

The Heritage Center, a non-profit at 803 Fahrenthold with a $50 membership, is open to those 50 and older Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. It offers exercise machines, chair exercise sessions, pool table, dominoes, lending library, lap top computers, games, bingo and opportunities to volunteer. Covered dish luncheons held once a month.
