Stories Needed For Bridal Magazine
Want to be featured in the 2018 El Campo Leader-News bridal magazine?
We are in need of your input to be included in the edition.
The feature idea focuses on unique wedding proposals. Brides can share how their husband proposed to them and why that moment was so special.
Please include the following information to be considered in the magazine:
1. Your story written in detail.
2. Photos of the proposal, if any were taken.
3. Wedding photos and current photo(s).
4. Include your name, day-time phone number(s), date you were married and where you live.
Your story and photos must be submitted by email or mail no later than Friday, Jan. 5.

2018 Louise Project Graduation Hosts Dance
The Louise Seniors are having a Winter Dance at Plainview Hall, Hillje to raise money for Project Graduation. Live music will be provided by Steel Country on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018. Doors open at 6 p.m. The dance will start at 8 p.m. and end at 12 p.m. There will be silent & live auction along with a concession stand. Heritage Center Hosts Meeting For Wharton County Retired Teachers
Inviting all retired teachers in Wharton County to a meeting, Wednesday, Jan. 10, at El Campo Heritage Center on Farenthold Street in El Campo at 10:30 a.m. The program will be presented by Sue Zanne Urbis. Wharton Garden Club Hosts Meeting
Wharton Garden Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 9 – 11 a.m. at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church (parish hall), 207 Bob-o-Link Lane in Wharton. Brunch refreshments are provided. Lisa Bubela will show how to make a “tussy mussy bouquet.” Everyone is welcome. Membership is $10 per year.
Manna Meals Offers Food, Fellowship
Manna Meals is offered at no cost every Monday and Thursday from 5 - 6:30 p.m. All are welcome. Meals are prepared then served by local congregations at 500 Foerster (between Fourth and Fifth Streets in El Campo). TOPS Meeting On Weekly Basis
TOPS Club, Inc. (Take Pounds Off Sensibly) will have a weekly chapter meeting from 9 - 10 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Northside Education Center, Room 105. Meetings focus on nutrition, exercise, motivation and wellness education. Those who are interested are welcome to attend.

Bulletin Board is a community service to promote one-time events for nonprofit organizations. The Leader-News requests only one representative submit items with contact information. Items will be edited. Event submissions will run no more than four editions immediately prior to the event as space permits. Garage sale fundraisers, church auctions (not part of a larger event) and raffles do not qualify. All items submitted must arrive no later than 3 p.m. Mondays for the Wednesday edition and 3 p.m. Thursdays for the Saturday edition.
