City Arrests Alcohol, drugs

Ezequiel Rodriguez Martinez, 30, of 811 Roth was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 on charges of driving while intoxicated, no driver's license and no insurance and cited for open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. He was released at 11:05 a.m. the same day on $3,000 bond.

Hugo Enrique Lopez, 27, of 518 Rooks in Wharton was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 on charges of driving while intoxicated, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, no insurance and no driver's license. He was transferred to county jail the next day.

Kimberly Faye Sanders, 22, of 706 1/2 E. Jackson was arrested at 12:59 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 on charges of possession of between 28 and 200 grams of a controlled substance and public intoxication. She was released at 9:15 a.m. the same day on $5,500 bond.

Guadalupe Estanislao Cruz, 32, of 109 W. Alfred was arrested at 8:28 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 on charges of failure to identify, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle and public intoxication and cited for open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. He was released at 10:45 a.m. the next day on $3,000 bond.

Anthony Perez, 36, of 1308 Ave. E was arrested at 2:19 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10 on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid or revoked. He was released the same day on $2,000 bond.

Jesus Manuel Martinez, 18, of 211 Higbee was arrested at 6:35 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 on a charge of possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana and a warrant for burglary of a vehicle. Police went to his home to serve the warrant and allegedly saw three minor girls enter the house. When they knocked on the door, they smelled burnt marijuana. The girls were questioned and released. Martinez remained in custody at presstime.

Violence, weapons

Carmelo Gonzales Medrano, 40, of CR 362 outside El Campo was arrested at 4:53 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 on a warrant for assault causes bodily injury. He was released the next day on $2,000 bond.

Della Manciaz Gomez, 38, of Rosenberg was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 on warrants for assaulting a family member, unrestrained child under age 2, no insurance, no animal license, failure to provide proof of rabies vaccination and failure to signal intent. She remained in custody at presstime.

George David Castillo, 41, of 1601 Ave. C was arrested at 11:01 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 on a warrant for indecency with a child sexual contact. He remained in custody at presstime.
