Louise-Hillje Chamber Fall Festival set for Sept. 28-29

The Louise-Hillje Chamber of Commerce is planning their 2nd annual fall festival for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29. The event will include plenty of good food, games, vendors, a barbecue cook-off and motorcycle fun run to name a few.

The barbecue cook-off check-in begins on Friday. Registration forms for this event are now available by contacting Darla at 979-541-6905.

Friday evening's festivities will begin with a street dance. The entire community is encouraged to come out and enjoy the music provided by Tin Top from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Vendor and food booths will open at 10 a.m. to begin activities. Concession booths will be available during that time. Registration forms are available by contacting Liz or Pam at 979-648-2026.

Music throughout the day will be provided by Rudy & Alys. In addition to the food and vendor booths, other activities will include a cake walk, face painting, games and plenty of activities for the young and old.

Highlighting the afternoon, will be a pet costume contest at 3 p.m. New events for this year will be a washer pitching tournament and a motorcycle fun run benefiting breast cancer awareness.

Concluding the day's activities will be an auction and the announcement of the barbecue cook-off and washer pitching winners.
