Laura Hensley honored with bridal & bachelorette parties

Three parties honoring Laura Hensley, bride-elect of Jackson Motal, were held Thursday and Saturday.

The first shower was held at the home of Polly Wilkins Thursday afternoon. Fourth grade teachers serving as hostesses were Brenda Harp, Polly Wilkins, Sharon Harton, Leslie Waddell, Laura Glaze, Lachelle Hlavaty, Alicia Stary, Cherie Bram, Jerica Smidovec, Susan Kresta and Brenda Maxwell.

Cake, sandwiches, chips, dips and vegetables were served.

Special guest was the honoree's mother, Daphne Hensley.

Laura received a gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond from the hostesses.

On Saturday, a bridal luncheon was held in the morning at the home of Alicia Stary and an evening bachelorette party was held that evening, also at the Stary residence.

Kendra and Stacey Charbula hosted the bridal luncheon. Pink tablecloths decorated the tables. Refreshments included wraps, chips, dips, vegetables and punch.

Attending were the honoree's mother, as well as the mother of the future groom, Becky Keating of La Grange. Laura received a tote bag and photo album in her wedding colors of black and hot pink.

A bachelorette party held at 6:30 p.m. was hosted by the bridesmaids: Alicia Stary, Carrie Jo Dennis, Robin Waters, Rhea Kachmar, Jen Petrash, Samantha Petrash, Nicole Joines, Amanda Rohan and Audrey Staff.

Pink tablecloths and pink flowers decorated the home.

Chicken spaghetti, salad, bread, chips, dips, cake and tea were served.

Special guests included the mothers of the bride and groom and Gayla Dluhos of El Campo, grandmother of the bride-to-be.

The hostesses presented the honoree with two white night gowns.
