Baby shower honors mom-to-be, Kelly McMahan Hermenitt

A baby shower was given in honor of Kelly McMahan Hermenitt Saturday at St. John's Parish Hall in Taiton from 1-3 p.m.

Decorations were in black and white checked race car theme, and yellow and pink baby girl theme.

Guests were served fruit salad with dip, carrots and cucumbers with ranch dip, chicken salad sandwiches, cheese and crackers, punch and soda. A cake with "Congratulations" written on it included a pair of keepsake booties on top that the baby's information may be written on at a later date was also served.

Games were played by the guests and winners received gift bags.

Special guests were Terry "Nana" Rab, maternal grandmother; Karen "Grandma" Ferguson, paternal grandmother; Marilynn Chappell, maternal great-grandmother; and Annie Kacal, maternal step- great-grandmother.

Kelly received many outfits and essential baby necessities from her guests. A glider-rocker was given to her by her hostesses.

The parents-to-be reside in Austin, and their baby is due the later part of October.
