Public hearing set to discuss ECISD ranking

An El Campo public hearing and school board meeting Tuesday night will hear only one topic: the district's state financial accountability ranking.

The legally-required public hearing is set for the public to present input on the El Campo ISD's School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas ranking.

This is the fifth year of School FIRST, a financial accountability system for Texas school districts developed by the Texas Education Agency in 1999. It is also the fifth consecutive year that ECISD has earned a Superior Achievement rating, the highest of the system's four ratings.

The public hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 in the ECISD board room, 700 W. Norris. Meetings are open to the public.
