MR. AND MRS. ANTHONY ALLEN SMITH TAMMY JO TUMLINSON
Tammy Jo Tumlinson and Anthony Allen Smith were united in marriage at 4 p.m., Sept. 15, 2007, at the Historical Texana Church in Edna. Pastor Danny P. Reeves performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of John and Kathy Tumlinson of El Campo. Parents of the groom are Jocelyn Smith and the late William Smith of El Campo.

The ceremony was held at the Historical Texana Church. The gated entrance to the church was decorated with ivory tulle and English ivy. Two identical grapevine wreaths accented with sienna and terra cotta lisianthus, hypericum berries, fern, cascading ruscus and sheer burnt orange organza ribbon adorned the double entrance doors. Candelabras accented with English ivy and sienna-colored candles decorated the church. Pews were accented with ivory tulle bows and sienna-colored flowers. An antique piano was graced with a cascading fresh floral arrangement of sienna hybrid lilies, leonida and terra cotta roses. Runners of ruscus and plumosa completed the cascade.

Music was provided by the pianist, Annette Marek, cousin of the bride. Selections included "The Wedding Song," Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," "Canon in D," "Trumpet Voluntary" for the bride's entrance, and "Rondea" for the recessional. Soloist Shauna Johse, daughter of the groom, sang "The Rose" during the lighting of the unity candle.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a Private Collection ivory strapless organza gown with hand-beaded pearls and sequins that consisted of Venice lace appliqués. The gown featured a side-wrap style waist and a side split with pearled and sequined appliqués from the waist to the floor and covered buttons going down the back bodice. It had a chapel-length train with a scalloped-laced hem embellished with pearls and sequins. She wore an ivory fingertip veil with satin ribbon edging. Her jewelry consisted of a pearl and crystal necklace and earrings. She carried a hand-tied nosegay of fragrant Vendella roses, accented with bi-colored Leonida roses, accented with hypericum berries, Isrealian ruscus and embellished with gold chiffon ribbon.

Matron of honor was Christy Moller of El Campo, niece of the groom; and maid of honor was Sara Novosad of El Campo, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer White of El Campo, niece of the groom; and Lauren Miksik of El Campo, cousin of the bride.

Bridal attendants wore Mori Lee designer gowns of siennacolored embroidered chiffon with a strapless bodice detailed with delicate embroidered flowers that met the asymmetrical front drape of their A-line skirt. They carried three hand-tied, long-stemmed terra cotta roses adorned with gold chiffon ribbon.

Madelyn Novosad attended as flower girl, and Kolby Marino served as ring bearer.

Best man was Kyle Smith of Wharton, son of the groom. Groomsmen were Stephen Wasicek of Wharton, cousin of the groom; Ronnie Wittig of Wharton, friend of the groom; and Blake Tumlinson of El Campo, brother of the bride.

Ushers were Matthew Tumlinson of El Campo, brother of the bride, and Dennis Smith of El Campo, brother of the groom. Program attendant was Audra Rod of College Station.

A reception, dinner, and dance was held immediately following the ceremony at The Hafernick Center at Brackenridge Plantation Park in Edna. Members of the houseparty were Janice White, Roxann Smith, Tina Abelar, Laurie Resendez, Nicole Brady and Laura McGrew.

A rehearsal dinner was held at The Plantation Restaurant in Edna.

The bride is a graduate of El Campo High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria where she received a bachelor of business degree in marketing. She is employed as a Lending Officer at First Ag Credit in El Campo.
