Miscellaneous bridal shower held for Holly Sohrt Saturday morning

Holly Sohrt, bride-elect of Dustin Kana, was honored with a miscellaneous bridal shower Saturday morning at St. John's Parish Hall in New Taiton.

The registry table was covered with a white linen cloth and an ivory overlay. An exquisite arrangement of calla lilies and candles, along with the couple's portrait and guest book, decorated the table.

The refreshment table, also covered in white linen and ivory, was centered with a decorated cake inscribed with "Best Wishes Dustin and Holly."

Refreshments included chicken salad sandwiches, chips, pickles, cream cheese and poppyseed rolls, slush punch and coffee.

Special guests were Debbie Sohrt, mother of the bride-to-be; Tyann Buenger, mother of the future groom; Christine Kana, stepmother of the future groom; and Dorothy Sohrt and Alice Koenig, grandmothers.

The 19 hostesses presented the honoree with an 8 piece set of stainless steel cookware.

The couple's wedding is set for Dec. 29, 2007.
