Laura Hensley & Jackson Motal exchange vows

Laura Hensley and Jackson Motal were united in marriage at 2 p.m., Sept. 15, 2007 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Deacon Jarrell Nohavitza performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Daphne Hensley and Jerry and Beverly Hensley, all of El Campo. Parent of the groom are Bill and Becky Keating of La Grange and Reeves Motal of The Woodlands.
Music was provided by the organist, Janice Cox; and soloist, Stephen Deiss. Selections included "El Shaddai," "Wedding Song," Pachelbel's "Canon In D," "Come and Journey," "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," "I Can Only Imagine," "Trumpet Voluntary" and "Trumpet Tune."
The church altar held a large Ivory and gold urn centerpiece of white gladiolus, snapdragons, calla lilies, Latin Breeze roses, spider mums, stock and Myia hot pink gerber daisies and a mixture of foliage.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a pearl and ivory Mori Lee satin, strapless gown. The bodice was embroidered and sprinkled with crystal beading, seed pearls and sequins featuring a double band of duchess satin. The slightly dropped waist featuring an A-line skirt was embellished with the same embroidered work as the bodice. Triple bands of duchess satin encircled the cathedral-length train. For her veil, the bride chose a double tier ivory fingertip veil of illusion with a double row of metallic edging and silver bugle beads with scattered rhinestones. The bride carried a nosegay of stargazer lilies and Latin Breeze roses backed with lemon leaf foliage and tied with white satin ribbon.
The bride was attended by the matron of honor, Alicia Stary of El Campo, sister of the bride; maid of honor, Carrie Jo Dennis of- Houston, friend of the bride; and bridesmaids, Audrey Staff of Round Rock, cousin of the bride; Rhea Kachmar of E Campo, friend of the bride; Robin Waters and Samantha Petrash, both of Austin and friends of the bride; Jennifer Petrash of Houston; Katie Little of Wichita, Kan., Nicole Joines of Richmond and Amanda Rohan of El Campo, all friends of the bride
The attendants wore strapless gowns of black satin featuring a raspberry satin sash that wrapped to the back of the gown and featured streamers that cascaded toward the hem of the train. Bridesmaids carried a nosegay bouquet of Myia hot pink gerber daisies and seed eucalyptus backed with lemon leaf and hand-tied with black satin ribbon.
Flower girls were Averi Glaze, goddaughter of the groom; and Emily Glaze, friend of the bride and groom. Ring bearer was Layton Stary, nephew of the bride.
Serving as best men were Stan Motal of Round Rock, brother of the groom; and Jess Glaze of College Station, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Chad Hensley of El Campo, brother of the bride; Lee Keating of La Grange, brother of the groom; Jason Prochaska of Austin, Percy English of El Campo, Jordan Faykus of Houston, Matt Glaze of Victoria, and Shawn Ladewig of Houston, friends of the groom; and Clay Glaze of El Campo, godson and nephew of the bride.
Ushers were Bart Bacak of El Campo, and Luke Joines of Richmond, friends of the groom; Slade Stary of El Campo, brother in-law of the bride; Kevin Dluhos of Houston and Slade Mitchell of El Campo, cousins of the bride.
Witnesses were Randy and Becky Mitchell and James and Teresa Pierce. Coordinators were Kendra Charbula and Sloane Kubala.
A reception followed at the El Campo Knights of Columbus Hall. Members of the houseparty included Stacey Charbula, Peggy Glaze, Laura Glaze, Joyce Hensley, Pat Taylor, Heather Cranek, Heather Mican, Heather Uretsi, Stephanie Martinka, Spence Mitchell, Jack Korenek, Dean Pfeffer, Drew Kana, Clint Faas and Matt Hoelscher.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of El Campo High School and a 2005 graduate of Southwest Texas State University. She is a fourth grade teacher at Northside Elementary.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of El Campo High School. He attended St. Mary's University. He is a master electrician at Penner Electric.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in El Campo.
Rehearsal dinner held Friday night at the El Campo Volunteer Fire Department training field was hosted by Ross and Peggy Glaze.
