Baby shower held for Kabrina Smith at J Brew Saturday afternoon a baby shower was held for Kabrina and Chris Smith at J Brew Coffee Bar & Studio in El Campo. The room was decorated in blues and greens, with helium-filled balloons and colorful gift baskets scattered around the room. The mother-to-be was presented a corsage made from a bib, baby sock, ribbon and had a baby bracelet, hand print and pacifier attached to it. The future grandmothers, Linda Bolcik and Theresa Smith, were given similar corsages. The great-grandmothers, Mary Czervenski and Annie Sablatura, were honored with white carnation corsages. Approximately 18 guests played games, such as the animal baby name game, "Who Knows Mommy Best" and then baby gift bingo. Gift bags of candy shaped like a baby bootie were given as prizes. Gifts were opened and the baby received presents such as a high chair, walker, shadow box with a poem about baby and a place for baby's picture, and many other beautiful items. Many of the gifts reflected the future daddy's career as a firefighter, including soft form fire trucks and outfits with fire trucks on them. Guests were treated to appetizer that included a cheese roll, seven layer dip, pinwheels, hand print cookies and two specialty cheese cakes. The mommy-to-be had a special chocolate cake. Hosting the shower were Krissy Mahalitc and Melanie Porter. Chris and Kabrina Smith reside in New Braunfels. Kabrina is the daughter of Linda and Michael Bolcik of El Campo. Chris is the son of Richard and Theresa Smith of New Braunfels. Their baby boy is due Nov. 14, 2007. |
