Wharton coming to town for county game
Ricebirds, Tigers prepare for 98th annual meeting in friendly rivalry

      The Ricebirds will host the Wharton Tigers Friday in a rivalry football match and a homecoming all in one. Wharton Head Coach Gary Van Sant will lead the Tigers against the Ricebirds in the 98th annual meeting between the two teams.

      Several near-misses gave way to three competitors in Week 3 of the Leader-News football contest. In one of the toughest weeks yet, 20 people missed only two games. In order to win this week, entrants could only miss one match.
