Louise-Hillje hosting 2nd annual fest

After a successful event last year, the Louise-Hillje Chamber of Commerce decided to host its 2nd annual Fall Festival next weekend.

The event, to be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29, will start with a cook-off and street dance on Friday with music provided by Tin Top from 8 p.m. to midnight.

On Saturday there will be plenty of good food, games, vendors and a motorcycle fun run.

Vendor and food booths will open at 10 a.m. to begin activities. Concession booths will be available during that time.

Music throughout the day will be provided by Rudy & Alys. Other activities of interest will be a cake walk, face painting and various games for the young and old.

Highlighting the afternoon, will be a pet costume contest at 3 p.m. New events for this year will be a washer pitching tournament and a motorcycle fun run benefiting breast cancer awareness. Concluding the day's activities will be an auction and announcement of the barbecue cook-off and washer pitching winners.
