Bake Sale For Cancer Cure
NewFirst National Bank's "Vault Villains" Relay for Life team hosted their fourth annual bake sale last Friday to benefit the American Cancer Society. Making some purchases are Rosalinda Marek, center, and Jessica Prihoda, right. Taking their money is team member Pierrette Baklik, left. The Vault Villains raised $1,500 from the bake sale and are still collecting donations for memorials or "in honor of" signs that are being displayed in the bank. So far the El Campo branch has 40 of those posted on their bulletin board and they will continue selling those through Oct. 19. Another fund-raiser for employees at all NewFirst National branches is the privilege of wearing jeans on five consecutive Fridays by paying $20 to Relay for Life, or $5 for one Friday.
