Texana gets $50K grant for van use
Wharton County clients of Texana will soon be riding in new vans thanks to $50,000 in grant dollars.

Texana CEO George Patterson and Resource Development Director Rod Crowl announced the M. G. & Lillie A. Johnson Foundation has donated $50,000 to purchase two new vans for Texana's Wharton County client service activities.

"This gift is one of the largest received in recent years," Crowl said.

The Johnson Foundation had previously assisted with building improvements at the Wharton Services Facility.

"All consumers and friends of Texana are grateful to the Mr. Robert Halepeska, Executive Vice President, and the other trustees of the Johnson Foundation for helping Texana continue to provide better care and transportation services to Wharton County residents," Crowl said.
