City Arrests Alcohol, drugs

Kenneth Charles Peckinpaugh, 43, of Katy was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 on charges of driving while intoxicated and expired driver's license, after police went to look for a reported reckless driver on North Mechanic. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the same day.

Alejandro Martinez Vasquez, 38, of 707 Dunlap was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 on charges of driving while intoxicated, no driver's license and no insurance, after allegedly smashing his car into the back of a pickup on North Mechanic. He was released at 10:40 a.m. the same day on $2,000 bond.

Constantino C. Delacruz, 36, of Houston was arrested at 3:12 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 23 on charges of driving while intoxicated and open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, after allegedly driving U.S. 59 at 89 mph and nearly hitting a vehicle in front of him. He was transferred to county jail the same day.

Paul Rinnie Cadriel Jr., 30, of 1006 Honeydew Lane in Eagle Lake was arrested at 11:52 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23 on charges of possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana, driving while license invalid or revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia and no insurance and cited for open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. He was transferred to county jail the same day.

Jorge Valdes Padilla, 20, of 205 S. Wharton was arrested at 2:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 on a Fort Bend County warrant for bond forfeiture - failure to stop and give information after an accident and a charge of failure to identify - fugitive from justice. He allegedly gave police a false name when being arrested on a different matter, but an anonymous phone caller told police his real name. He was released at 2:30 p.m. the next day on $3,000 bond.

Joedavid Edward Beaver, 32, of 6148 Hwy. 71 North was arrested at 6:58 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23 on warrants for failure to appear, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, expired motor vehicle inspection certificate and expired registration and two warrants no insurance. He remained in custody at presstime.

Vicente Guadalupe Salinas-Delgado, 30, of 408 E. West was arrested at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 on charges of failure to identify/giving fictitious information, improper use of a turn signal, no driver's license and no insurance. He was transferred to county jail the same day.

City Incidents Property

Rudy Melchor reported theft of a motor vehicle from 911 Otell between 11:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 and 12:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.

Anna Reyes reported burglary of a habitation at 1410 Blue Creek Rd. between 4:30 and 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. Burglars stole a male pit bull worth $425.

County Jail Bookings Violence, weapons

Homero Garcia Balderas, 30, of 301 S. Orange in Louise was booked Sunday, Sept. 23 for assault-family violence. He was released at 11:15 a.m. the same day on $5,000 bond.
