Andrea Stryk & Jordan Smith unite in double ring ceremony

Andrea Stryk and Jordan Smith were united in marriage at 7 p.m., Sept. 22, 2007 at Randolph AFB, Chapel 1 with the Rev. Michael Lane performing the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Lisa Stryk of Victoria and Billy and Darlene Bain of Louise. Parents of the groom are Dr. Roy Dimon of Richardson and Maxine Smith of Ft. Worth.

The bride, escorted by her father, Robert Stryk, wore a white A-line gown with cap sleeves and chapel-length train. An organza overlay with floral beading embellished the bodice and hem. From her rhinestone headband fell a single elbowlength veil sprinkled with seed pearls. Her Biedermeyer bouquet included blush pink and white roses.

Attendants were the maid of honor, Alena Stryk of Corpus Christi, sister of the bride; and bridesmaids, Courtney Flatt of Coppell and Leslie Uptain of College Station, friends of the bride.

They wore a two-piece ensemble featuring an A-line tealength skirt and contrasting sash. The maid of honor wore blush pink with a chocolate brown sash and the bridesmaids wore chocolate brown ensembles with a blush pink sash. They carried blush pink rose bouquets.

Best man was Joshua Smith of Dallas, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Ken Uptain and Derek Patrick of College Station, friends of the groom.

Ushers were John Jambers and Kandice Duke.

Witnesses were Alena Stryk and Josh Smith.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Randolph AFB Officers Club.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Louise High School and a December 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University where she received a bachelor of science degree in ag development and ag journalism. She is an August 2007 graduate of Texas A&M with a master of education degree in leadership education. She is a member of the Association of Leadership Educators and employed as a program specialist for Adult, Graduate and Off Campus Student Services at Texas A&M in College Station.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Happy Hill Farm Academy and a December 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University where he received a bachelor of science degree in ag economics. He is a pilot candidate for the United States Air Force.

After a Caribbean cruise the couple will reside in Del Rio.
