Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Pablo Efrain Perez, 22, of Midfield was arrested at 11:23 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day. Property Fredrick Ray Grant, 56, of 706 Dunlap was arrested at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 on a charge of criminal trespass at a habitation after allegedly tearing down a " no trespassing" sign, kicking in the door of a vacant house in the 300 block of Palacios, and going inside. He remained in custody at presstime. Diane Munoz Moreno, 50, of 405 W. Jackson was arrested at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 on nine warrants for issuance of a bad check, charges of no driver's license and failure to yield rightof way and a warrant for no insurance, after being a driver in a wreck. She remained in custody at presstime. Cleveland Byron Crockett Jr., 30, of 1023 Kearney in Wharton was arrested at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 on warrants for burglary of a vehicle and credit card abuse while already in custody at the county jail on unrelated charges. County Incidents Property Christopher Reckaway reported burglars took a $1,785 John Deere lawnmower, two amplifiers worth $250, a .22 lever action rifle wroth $450, a $550 12-gauge Remington pump shotgun, a .22 Remington semi-automatic rifle worth $300, a .22 bolt-action rifle, a 30 carbine World War II gun worth $500 and other items from 4370 FM 1162 in El Campo between 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 and 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19. Victoriano Moreno reported theft of a $7,000 electronic engine computer from a business at 3200 W. Jackson between Sept. 15 and 21. Three people reported their cars were burglarized in Louise between 10 and 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21. Donetta Hardeway reported a vehicle burglarized at 600 N. Lavaca; Mary Perez reported the same at 500 N. Victoria and Theresa Krenek reported her vehicle burglarized at Hackberry and Short streets. The burglars broke windows on the vehicles and stole purses, wallets, credit cards and a camera from the vehicles. Felix Reyes Jr. reported theft of a $150 cellular phone from the American Legion Hall on Hwy. 71 South between 10:15 and 10:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs Manuel Vasquez Jr., 18, of 805 Dunlop was booked at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 for driving while intoxicated, no drivers license and failure to maintain financial responsibility. He was released at 12:03 p.m. the same day on $3,500 bond. Property Jose Camacho, 52, of 2001 Ave. F was booked at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 on warrants for theft, theft of the elderly and engaging in contracting without authority. He was held on $75,000 bond as of noon Thursday, Sept. 27. Violence, weapons Destiny Saldana, 27, of 43 Serena Dr. was booked at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 for assault. She was released at 12:10 p.m. the same day on $3,000 bond. Other Rusty Winzenried, 20, of 636 CR 390 in El Campo was booked at 9:20 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 for probation violation. He was held as of 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24. Jeremy Holloway, 21, of 1004 Mechanic was booked at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 for evading (conviction). He was held as of 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24. Daniel Gonzales, 18, of 310 Newport was booked Thursday, Sept. 20 for probation violation. He was held on $10,000 bond as of 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24.
