Alleged crimes ranging from driving while intoxicated to fleeing law enforcers will mean possible felony trials for several people following Wharton County Grand Jury deliberations this month.

The grand jury handed down several indictments - a jury verdict that a prosecutor has enough evidence to proceed with felony charges.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt.

Those facing trial include:

• Casimiro Ruiz Olvera, 45, of 1319 Ella in El Campo for DWI. He allegedly drove drunk on June 11. Olvera has two prior misdemeanor DWI convictions.

• Josue Ortiz-Mendoza, 18, of 1022 Stover in Houston for three counts of unlawful transport and one count of evading arrest or detention. He allegedly hid three people in his vehicle on June 21 and then fled from a law enforcement official who attempted to arrest him.

• Alejandro Vasquez Padron, 28, of 1314 Sam for DWI. He allegedly drove drunk on May 12. Padron has two prior misdemeanor convictions for DWI.

• Gabriel Dean Ramirez, 25, of Rt. 1, Box 266 on CR 453 in El Campo for DWI. He allegedly drove drunk on July 15. Ramirez has two prior misdemeanor convictions for DWI.

• Julian Rodriguez, 56, of 608 McCreary in Eagle Lake for DWI. He allegedly drove drunk on Feb. 25. Rodriguez has two prior misdemeanor convictions for DWI.

• Ramiro Rodriguez Rosillo, 47, of Rt. 1, Box 154 on CR 317 in Louise for DWI. He allegedly drove drunk on Dec. 31, 2006. Rosillo has two prior misdemeanor convictions for DWI.

• Juana Luisa Sanchez, 32, of 5627 Culebra Rd. in San Antonio for two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger. She allegedly drove drunk on July 23 with two children under the age of 15 in the vehicle.

• Adam Ivan Twardowski, 26, of 3114 Myatt Lane in El Campo for DWI. He allegedly drove drunk on June 22. Twardowski has two prior misdemeanor convictions for DWI as well as two at the felony level.

• Val Marie Williams, 48, of 103 Spur in Holiday Lakes for DWI. She allegedly drove drunk on May 27. Williams has three prior misdemeanor convictions for DWI.
