Texas' largest non-profit sporting event opens for registration Oct. 1
      The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Lone Star Chapter will open registration Monday, Oct. 1 for the 24th Annual BP MS 150. In past years, several El Campo residents have turned out for this event, as well as other bike rides supporting multiple sclerosis.

Wharton Co. youth attend dairy show
      Five Wharton County youth gave up sleeping in on Saturday morning to hook up their trailers, load up their dairy cattle, and head up to the Fayette County Fair. Kennedy Couvillion entered the Pee Wee Showmanship contest and came out of the arena with a blue ribbon and a bag full of goodies.
