Bonnie Karnei & Cliff Cerny wed in double ring ceremony

Bonnie Karnei and Cliff Cerny were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m., Sept. 22, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in El Campo. The Rev. Paul; Quiggens performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kermit and Brenda Karnei of Navasota. Parents of the groom are Clarence "Bouncie" and Robbi Cerny of Eagle Lake.

Bridal attendants were the maid of honor, Allison Herring of Houston, friend of the bride; and bridesmaids, Carrie Davies of Caldwell and Shara Davis of Brownsville, friends of the bride; Jodie Cerny of Brazoria, sister-in-law of the bride; Ravyn Brown of Robstown, friend of the bride; and Bonnie Cerny of Brookshire, sister-in-law of the bride.

Flower girl was Cassie Jo Cerny, niece of the groom. Ring bearer was Chance Wade Cerny, nephew of the groom.

Best man was Clay Cerny of Brazoria, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Cody Cerny of Brookshire, brother; Roy Karnei of Navasota, brother-in-law of the groom; Louis Mahalitc of Eagle Lake, Bo Vaurusa of Falfuras and Kurt Rogers of Eagle Lake, all friends of the groom.

Ushers were James Fitzgerald, John Fitzgerald and Justin Schneider.

Candlelighters were Robbi Cerny and Brenda Karnei. Witnesses were Allison Herring and Clay Cerny. Debbie Kashwer was soloist.

A reception followed at the Taiton Community Center. Members of the house party were Brandi Homeyer, Holly Fort, Johna Reeves, Nancy Goff, Cristi Wuthrich, Susan Cerny, Denise Cerny, Shirley Krenek, Shelbie Kolby and Bonnie Schroeder.

Rehearsal dinner was held at Fibber's Restaurant in Wharton and included grilled chicken and rib-eye steaks.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Navasota High School and a May 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University where she received a degree in marketing. The groom is a 1999 graduate of Rice Consolidated High School and a graduate of the Wharton County Junior College industrial maintenance technology program. He is co-owner of C&C Mowing.

The couple spent a night at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston and have plans to take a honeymoon trip at a later date.
