Robert Slezinsky
He was born Feb. 14, 1927 in Wharton County to Rudolph and Annie Stepan Slezinsky. He served in the Army as a PFC during World War II. Mr. Slezinsky was employed as general foreman and as a pipefitter for U.S. Contractors for over 20 years and enjoyed cutting and baling hay with his brothers. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Survivors include his children, Robert Murray Slezinsky and wife Krista of Beeville, Sandra Lynn Doomes of Portland, and Allen J. Clark and wife Marilyn of Wharton; five grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren and brothers, Walter and Otto Slezinsky of El Campo and Julius Slezinsky of Kenedy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Slezinsky; brothers, Henry and Rudolph Slezinsky Jr.; and grandson, Keb Clark. Visitation was held beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 at Triska Funeral Home with family receiving guests from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at Triska Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Storey officiating. Burial followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Emil Stepan, W.E. Stepan, Bobby Stepan, Walter Lilie, Paul Kucera, Todd Tugmon and Daryl Slezinsky. |
