Guadalupe Valdez

Guadalupe "Lupe" Valdez, 64, of El Campo, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007.

She was born Sept. 1, 1943 in El Campo to Cristoforo and Olivia Delgado Cantu.

She is survived by her daughters, Nora Ochoa of El Campo and Deborah Luedecke of Cat Springs; sons, Daniel Valdez of Beaumont, Lucio Valdez Jr. of Galveston and Joshua Valdez of El Campo; brothers, Adam Cantu of Houston and Chris Cantu of Corpus Christi; brothers Adam Cantu of Houston and Chris Cantu of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lucio Valdez Sr. and brothers, Albert and Pete Cantu.

Visitation is today, Sept. 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. Visitation Sunday, Sept. 30 will begin at noon with a wake service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at New Life Assembly Church with the Rev. Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
