      All calls to and from El Campo City Hall and most other municipal buildings are now being recorded although it is unlikely anyone will every listen to the time-stamped digital files.

     Wanted for: Theft Facts of the Case: Roger Ray Vernon, a 51-year-old black male; 6'1" and 173 lbs. is wanted in connection with a theft at Bucee's, 2403 N. Mechanic on Sept. 9. He allegedly took a power washer valued at more than $1,500.

ECPD sends two officers to ECISD, takes on two

      With the move of two officers to full-time positions at the campuses of El Campo ISD, the El Campo Police Department is welcoming two new officers to the agency. The city and school district signed an agreement last month to put two officers at the disposal of the district during school hours.
