Theresa Schroder turns 100 today

Theresa Schroder celebrated her 100th birthday with a party Sunday in the sun room of the Czech Catholic Home in Hillje. Her actual birthday is today. She was born Oct. 3, 1907.
The party was hosted by Richard and Cindy Bilski and included various refreshments. Approximately 20 guests attended from Brenham, Chappell Hill, Sugar Land and Houston. Special guest was the honoree's sister, Natalie Zentek of Houston.
Schroder was born to Steve and Teofila Cegielski in Chappell Hill. She had five brothers and four sisters and was married to Tony Bilski. They had two children, Edwin and Benny. She has three grandchildren, Richard, Edwin Jr. and Gregory Bilski and one greatgrandchild, Claire Bilski. She was also married to the late Ted Schroder.
She lived in Chappell Hill and Houston for about 60 years. She worked in downtown Houston as a sales lady.
Over the years she has enjoyed sewing, and playing dominoes and card games. She still enjoys playing bingo and dominoes at the nursing home.
Schroder will enjoy a night out to eat at Los Cucos on her actual birthday.
