Daibrein Ortiz Guadalupe Ortiz Jr. and Stacy Nicole Khan of El Campo announce the birth of their second child, a son named Daibrien Zerek Ortiz. The baby was born at 5:52 a.m., Sept. 25, 2007 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces. He is welcomed home by his one-year-old sister, Kaybreann Jayce Ortiz. Maternal grandparents are Robert and Elizabeth Khan of El Campo. Paternal grandparents are Guadalupe Ortiz and Janie Lopez, both of El Campo. Francheska Ortiz Mr. and Mrs. Santos Ortiz III of Fairbanks, Alaska announce the birth of their first child, a daughter named Francheska Isabella Ortiz. The baby was born at 9:02 p.m., Sept. 1, 2007 at Bassett Army Hospital at Fort Wainwright, Alaska weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Don and Lorene (Lundquist) Taylor of El Campo. Paternal grandparents are Santos and Martha (Saenz) Ortiz Jr. of El Campo. Great-grandparents are Bob and Ira Taylor of Three Rivers; Josephine Lundquist of Pawnee and the late C.H. Roland Lundquist; Santos and Elena Ortiz Sr. of El Campo; and Eddie Saenz of Palacios and the late Lydia Saenz. The mother is the late Sheena Renee Taylor. Brandi Speckels Mr. and Mrs. William E. Speckels II of Missouri City announce the birth of their second child, a daughter named Brandi Lynn Speckels. The baby was born at 5:33 p.m., Sept. 26, 2007 at The Woman's Hospital of Texas in Houston weighing 6 pounds, 4.9 ounces. She is welcomed home by a 22 1/2 month old brother, Branden William Speckels. Maternal grandparents are Steve and Doris Clifton of Wharton and the late Robert Decell. Paternal grandparents are Bill and Ruth Speckels of El Campo. Great-grandparents are Frances Clifton of Sulfur; L.A. Clifton and the late A.J. Clifton; the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Pugh; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Decell of Lake Charles, La.; the late Wilbur and Della Swanson of El Campo and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Speckels of Schulenburg. The mother is the former Debra Decell. Axel Voldan Axel Jon Voldan, the son of Jonathan and Nicole Voldan of El Campo, was baptized at 2 p.m., Sept. 23, 2007 at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Clyde Grier officiating. Axel's godparents are Frank and Carol Cernoch. He wore a boy's white silk suit with bow tie. A reception followed at the Christian Life Center. Refreshments included chicken salad sandwiches, vegetables, chips, cheese dip, tortilla rollups, strudels, cookies, cake, punch and tea. Special guests were Axel's godparents; George and Florence Voldan and Gladys Scotka, great-grandparents; Randy and Sherry Hohensee (PaPa and Nana) and Henry and Sharon Voldan, grandparents; Robert and Stephanie Alford, Heath and Mandy Voldan, Ashley and Michael Hohensee, Gloria Konvicka, Stanley and Karen Voldan, Ricky Scotka and Marilyn and Daniel Bubela, uncles and aunts; and many cousins. Special friends, Amanda Arning, Jennifer Lambert and Matt Kachmar, Gary and Cindy Reed, Nancy Hacker and Cora Lee Bishop also attended. Axel received a savings bond, money, crosses, picture frames, stuffed elephant and a first Bible. |
