Joa Janda's Pirates of the Caribbean theme birthday party held Sunday

Joa Janda celebrated his 4th birthday on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 30 at the home of his grandparents, Al and LaDell Janda.

His mother, Kim Janda, hosted the party.

A Pirates of the Caribbean theme was the party decorations, and his banana flavored cake featured pirate figurines.

Hot dogs, chips, dips, punch and tea were served.

Special guests were his grandparents; Adela Vinklarek, great-grandmother; Lydia Schoellmann; aunts, uncle, and cousins.

Joa received gifts of money, clothes, computer games, a backpack, skateboard and protective gear, and bow and arrow set.

Joa's actual birthday was Friday, Sept. 28.

He celebrated that evening with his family at a local seafood restaurant.
