Marcus Guerrero

Marcus John Alexander Guerrero, 17, of Garden City, Kan., briefly in El Campo, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007.

He was born May 16, 1990 in Garden City, Kan. to Chris Lucero and Kimberly Guerrero. Marcus attended the Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church in Garden City.

Survivors include his mother, Kimberly Guerrero of El Campo; father and step-mother, Chris and Martha Lucero of the home; foster parents, Monty and Janeen Cox of Ellis, Kan.; brothers, George Sanchez Jr. of Houston, Lawrence Sanchez of El Campo, Johnny Clayton of the home, Robbie Sanchez of El Campo, Louis Olvera of El Campo and Jordon Lucero of the home; sisters, Jonica Clayton of the home, Jasmine Lucero of the home and Elizabeth Olvera of El Campo; grandfathers, John Guerrero of Garden City, Kan. and Gilbert Lucero of El Paso; grandmother, Teresa Garcia of Liberal, Kan.; great-grandfather, Leo Martinez of Dodge City, Kan.; and great-grandmother, Pauline Lucero of Greeley, Colo.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Word Of Life Church in Garden City, Kan. with the Rev. Norman Harmon presiding. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kan. Friends may call from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kan.
