Czech orchestra brings talent to La Grange

The Petr Micka Czech Cimbalom Orchestra (a group of six musicians from Hodonin, Czech Republic) will perform at the Sanford Schmid Amphitheater at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center from 7:30-9 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2007.
The amphitheater concession stand will be selling refreshments and sausage wraps.
The orchestra will introduce Czech traditional folk music as performed in the Moravian region of the Czech Republic.
The performers are: Petr Micka and Ales Micka on violin, Martin Drlik on clarinet, Pavel Valicek on Cimbalom, Frantisek Sup on viola and David Ricica on bass.
Accompanying the performers will be a film crew from Czech National Television who is following them and filming their performances throughout Texas.
After the performance there will be a reception for the six performers at the Fair Pavilion.
All are invited to visit with the performers at that time.
