Middle school fire ruled accidental
District won't repair building on soon to be vacated campus

      The blaze which did significant damage to El Campo Middle School's Agricultural Science building has been ruled accidental. An insurance adjuster for the school district was on site Monday to access damage to the structure, but students will never use the building again.

No jobs lost as fuel co. goes to Edna

      Although Sun Coast Resources Inc. is moving its offices from El Campo to Edna, no jobs will be lost - in fact, the company is hiring. Steve Boyd, Sun Coast senior managing director, said the office move came because the company is consolidating offices into buildings it owns.
