CATTLE CALL FUND-RAISER
They're All Winners
The El Campo Heritage Center's Second Annual Cattle Call dinner and fund-raising event was held Saturday at the American Legion Hall, to benefit the ground work that is being laid for the Center's reconstruction. Karen Alewine, top photo, won the grand prize, a pen of three heifers. In the photo at left, Nancy Stephan Lily and Billy Bode congratulate each other on being named Cattlewoman and Cattlman of the Year, respectively. Heritage Center Board President Teresa McNew is expecting the event to bring in more funds than last year. The 2006 event collected approximately $15,000.
