Alice Guffey
      Alice Elizabeth Kana Guffey, 79, of Wharton, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in a Wharton hospital following an extended battle with Diabetes and Parkinson's Disease. She was born on April 11, 1928 in Smithville, youngest of six children, to Rudolph Kana and Hermina Hluchanek Kana.

      Edna Jean Thompson- Coleman, 54, of Houston, formerly of El Campo, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007. She was born Feb. 27, 1953 to Robert Louis Sr. and Myrtle Marie Henderson Thompson. She attended E.A. Greer and El Campo ISD and upon graduation in 1972 she moved to Houston.
