Grace Mauch

Grace Mildred Mauch, 76, of El Campo, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at her home.

She was born on Feb. 5, 1931 in El Campo to August Elmer and Ethel Jackson Bergstrom. She was treasurer of the Christ Lutheran Church Women, active making quilts for the missions, and a former Sunday School teacher and church council member.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Carl Mauch of El Campo; daughters, Suzan Berndt and husband Elvin of El Campo, Carol Rheinschmidt and husband Steve of El Campo; sons, Robert Mauch and wife Paula of Sweeny, Donald Mauch and wife Randa of El Campo; brother, Clark Bergstrom of Bay City; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Mauch; sister, Marjorie Lewis; and brother, Elmer J. Bergstrom.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church with her nephew, the Rev. Gordon Bergstrom, officiating. Burial followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Archie Mauch, Gordon 'Bo' Mauch, Herman Mauch Jr., Walter Lilie, Charles Lewis and Dennie Juroske.
