Guadalupe Valdez

Guadalupe 'Lupe' Valdez, 64, of El Campo, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1943 in El Campo to Crisoforo and Olivia Delgado Cantu.

Survivors include her daughters, Nora Ochoa of El Campo and Deborah Luedecke of Cat Spring; sons, Daniel Valdez of Beaumont, Lucio Valdez Jr. of Galveston, and Joshua Valdez of El Campo; and brothers, Adam Cantu of Houston and Chris Cantu of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lucio Valdez Sr.; and brothers, Albert and Pete Cantu.

A Wake service was held Sunday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at New Life Assembly Church with the Rev. Danny Roberts officiating. Burial followed at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Arrangements were under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.
