Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Juan Manuel Manzano Jr., 21, of 906 Second in Louise was arrested at 1:51 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while license invalid or revoked, no insurance and failure to report an accident, after allegedly driving his truck into a ditch and then fleeing as witnesses watched. He posted a $4,000 bond at 10 p.m. the same day. Harvey Joe Stokes, 48, of 406 S. Washington was arrested at 2:57 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 on charges of evading arrest or detention, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired driver's license and defective brake light, after allegedly running from police who stopped him for a bad brake light. He posted a $4,000 bond at noon the same day. Tonnetta Lynn Vaughn, 38, of Bertram was arrested at 3:14 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 on charges of abandoning/endangering a child criminal negligence, possession of a controlled substance, expired registration and possession of drug paraphernalia and a Llano County warrant for failure to appear after allegedly having crystal methamphetamine and a meth pipe in her car as well as her 11-year-old daughter. Her passenger Michael Mark Martinez, 45, of 1501 Pinchot was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, abandoning/ endangering a child criminal negligence and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $10,500 bond as of 11:30 a.m. Monday. She was transferred to county jail the next day. Tammy Cordero Velasquez, 38, of 310 Maude in Wharton was arrested at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 on a charge of driving while intoxicated and cited for open alcohol container in a motor vehicle after an officer attempted to stop her for a defective headlamp. She was transferred to county jail the same day. Jorge Morales Rojas, 27, of 715 Roth was arrested at 2:55 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15 on charges of driving while intoxicated, no insurance and failure to report an accident after allegedly reporting a vehicle stolen. Police said he had cuts and abrasions all over his body when they talked to him and then someone reported the same vehicle was in a ditch in a different part of the same neighborhood. Rojas was held as of 11:30 a.m. the same day. Property Monica Lopez, 35, of 2101 N. Wharton was arrested at 11:42 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 on a Wharton County warrant for theft by check, two Wharton County warrants for issuance of a bad check, a warrant for defective brake lights, two warrants for no driver's license and three warrants for issuance of a bad check. She posted bond at 10:40 a.m. the next day. Joe Garcia, 33, of 1508 Bravo was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 on a warrant for issuance of a bad check and a Wharton County warrant for larceny - theft by check, after fleeing a vehicle crash in which he was a passenger. He was held on $7,500 bond as of 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15. Anthony Adrian Rosiles, 18, of 111 W. Alfred was arrested at 12:06 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 on a warrant for criminal mischief. He posted a $1,500 bond at 8:45 p.m. the next day. Violence, weapons A 16-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 7:50 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 on a warrant for assault family violence. He was transferred to a juvenile detention facility the same day. four years in prison. • Luis Alberto Salinas, 27, of 614 Guayana Lane in Brownsville for possession of marijuana. He was placed on eight years deferred probation, fined $500 and ordered to perform 240 hours community service. • Roshawn Dupree Felton, 29, of 310 CR 243 in Wharton for two counts of deadly conduct. He was placed on three years deferred probation, fined $200 and ordered to perform 160 hours community service. • Bernabe Garza Jaime, 56, of 3933 Santa Elena in Corpus Christi for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger. He was sentenced to two years in state jail. • Charles Ray Grays, 52, of 1306 Fred in El Campo for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was placed on 10 years probation with an order to serve six months in county jail. • Ray Sosa, 43, of 1706 Lampley in El Campo for burglary of a habitation. He was placed on three years deferred probation, ordered to perform 120 hours of community service and pay $1,230 in restitution. • Michael Anthony Hebert Jr., 26, of 507 Dunlap in El Campo for possession of a controlled substance. He was placed on three years deferred probation, fined $500 and ordered to perform 120 hours of community service. Hebert must also pay $250 restitution. • Melissa Marie Parker, 21, of 505 N. Ann in Port Lavaca for possession of a controlled substance. Her probation was revoked and she was placed on four years probation. • Dustin Wayne Heimann, 26, address unavailable for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. His probation was revoked and he was sentenced to 120 days in state jail. • Byron Lynn Dickerson, 43, of 7519 Juanita in Hungerford for possession of a controlled substance. His prior conviction was adjudicated and he was sentenced to two years in prison. • Detodveus Lunford, 20, of 2500 Junior College Blvd. in Wharton for forgery. The felony charge was reduced to a Class A misdemeanor and he was sentenced to 42 days in county jail.• Akeyia Thompson, 24, address unavailable for possession of a controlled substance. Her probation was revoked and she was sentenced to six months in state jail. • Arthurene Smith, 44, of 7276 Regency Square in Houston for forgery. Her probation was revoked and she was sentenced to 16 months in state jail.• Alejandro Noel Rodriguez, 21, address unavailable for endangering a child. His prior conviction was adjudicated and he was sentenced to six months in state jail. • Roland James Brown, 33, address unavailable for evading arrest or detention. His prior conviction was adjudicated and he was sentenced to 217 days in county jail. • William Malcum Carmichael Jr., 60, address unavailable for possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
