Harvest Fest features fun for all ages Rain or shine, the 24th Annual Needville Harvest will come alive Friday and Saturday at Festival Park located on Highway 36 behind the Knights Of Columbus Hall. Gates open at 8 a.m. There will be arts and crafts, games, clothing, jewelry, yard art and much more from more than 100 vendors who will set up at the park. Headlining this year's musical entertainment will be singer-songwriter Wade Bowen and local musician Ryan James. Other entertainment includes a talent contest, Little Mr. and Miss and Harvest Festival Queen contests, along with a carnival, games, rides and face painting. The 5th annual cook-off with barbecue categories in brisket, pork ribs, pork loins, chicken and fajitas will also be held. There will also be categories for ladies' choice, best margarita and overall champion. Tickets are sold in two sections, daytime and evening. Those wishing to stay only until 6 p.m. may purchase a wristband for $5. Those staying past 6 p.m. will need to purchase a different colored wristband for $10. This wristband will allow visitors to enjoy the festival all day and have access to the Wade Bowen concert Saturday night. Those who decide to stay past 6 p.m. may upgrade their wristband for another $5. Gate admission is $10 for after 6 p.m. with the exception of children six-years-old or younger who will be admitted free of charge. |
