FAMILY REUNION

The 40th annual Dornak family reunion was held Sunday at St. John's parish hall in New Taiton. Attending were descendants of Joe M. and Mary Stokr Dornak, including two of their 12 children, Mary Bercak and Pauline Zboril, and daughterin law, Helen Dornak.

Hosts were the descendants of Adolph and Evelyn Dornak. Lois Svoboda and Delores Dornak registered 55 family and guests for the event.

A catered fried chicken dinner was served, along with a wide variety of desserts furnished by those attending. A blessing said before the meal was led by Svoboda.

A short business meeting was led by Delores Dornak and Bill Schmidt read the minutes from last year's reunion.

Guests visited throughout the afternoon. Door prizes brought by the host family were awarded. Gift bags were given to all children present and a silent auction was conducted by Kim Shimek who was assisted by Hunter, Garret and Emily Shimek.

The 2008 reunion will be hosted by the descendants of Eunice and Sigmund Shimek family.
