Hornets whip Woodsboro, Falls City next

      After a great homecoming victory comes this year's real challenge. Louise will travel Friday for a game that has been tough in the last few years for the Hornets, but this year could be the one. The Hornets need this game in order to take one step farther in securing a playoff spot.

      The Lady Hornets moved one step closer to a perfect district volleyball record Friday. Louise hosed Woodsboro and earned a quick 3-game victory to move to 7-0 in district play.

El Campo swimming back in action against Victoria
      El Campo swimming is under way and the Ricebirds hit the water Thursday to take on the Victoria Memorial Vipers at the El Campo Aquatic Center. Partly due to several sports deep in their respective seasons, Victoria's swim team outnumbered El Campo, but still the Ricebirds had a strong meet.

EC ladies lose in 3 at Terry
      The Lady 'Birds fell Friday in Rosenberg to Terry and officially were eliminated from volleyball playoff contention. El Campo needed the win to keep any hopes alive for the post season, but the Lady Rangers took the match in three games.
