Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Douglas M. Smith Jr., 36, of 1008 N. Washington was arrested at 2:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 on Leon County warrants for failure to appear - driving while intoxicated and theft of property by check. He remained in custody at presstime. Property Wesley Henry Simmons Jr., 63, of 2404 N. Fulton in Wharton was arrested at 8:42 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22 on a charge of theft between $20 and $500, after allegedly taking 71 feet of welding lead out of Mark's Machine Shop, 1101 N. Blue Creek Rd. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day. Violence, weapons Natasha Palmer Grays, 23, of 806 N. Washington was arrested at 4:43 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 on a charge of assault family violence. She was released the same day on $412.75 bond. Wilber Dean Grays, 25, of 1403 Short was arrested at 4:43 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 on a charge of assault family violence. He was released the same day on $412.75 bond. Randy Brown, 43, of 512 Dunlap was arrested at 12:47 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 on a warrant for assault bodily injury - family violence. He was released at 11 a.m. the next day on $5,000 bond. Harvey Joe Stokes, 48, of 501 Kerney was arrested at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 on charges of assaulting a public servant and public intoxication, after allegedly hitting a police officer in the nose and face with his elbow.. He was held on $5,500 bond as of noon Monday, Oct. 22. Isidro Castillo Hernandez, 42, of 209 N. Liberty was arrested at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 on two warrants for assault by contact and a warrant for disorderly conduct - language after police stopped to check a noise complaint. He was released the same day after paying $1,381.85 in fines. Robert Lee Gonzales, 20, of 258 Rail Ave. in Bloomington was arrested at 10:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 on charges of resisting arrest, public intoxication, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct - language and Karnes County warrants for possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest or detention, after allegedly trying to head-butt police officers. Gonzales then ducked his head and ran, dragging two police officers until his head hit the back of a patrol car, denting it. He also allegedly kicked the car's rear window and security screen. He remained in custody at presstime. Other Ini Akpanudo Inyang, 27, of 710 Dunlap was arrested at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 on two warrants for speeding and warrants for expired registration and failure to appear. He was released the same day after paying $700.20 in fines. Miguel Angel Savala, 27, of 1014 E. Calhoun was arrested at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 on a charge of evading arrest or detention.
