PTC Carnival great for the whole family

Spooks, goblins, witches, princesses, kings and more are expected to descend on the Halloween Carnival being hosted by the St. Philip Parent Teacher Club (PTC) Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall from noon to 5 p.m.

Children can come dressed in costume for the contest that begins at 2 p.m. Be sure to arrive on time to register for this event at 1:30 p.m.

Booths with games and plenty of good food will also be available throughout the afternoon. New this year is the dinosaur dig and pastry booth. Back by popular demand is the moon walk and cake walk. There will be other games as well.

Food items will include chili, hot dogs, hamburgers and other treats.

According to PTC president Michele Ellis, "This is the biggest fund-raiser for the PTC."

Funds are used throughout the school year for operating expenses, classroom supplies, flu shots for teachers, teacher bonuses and other needs for St. Philip School.
