Arrambide accepted as member of Golden Key Honour Society

Desiree Elaine Arrambide of Huntsville, who has accepted membership in Golden Key International Honour Society, was honored during a recent induction ceremony at Sam Houston State University where she is junior marketing major.

Arrambide, a 2005 graduate of El Campo High School, is the daughter of Mauro and Lucy Arrambide of El Campo. She plans to graduate from SHSU in May 2009.

"It is only fitting that a top academic achiever like Desiree be recognized by Golden Key," said Alexander D. Perwich II, Golden Key's chief executive officer. "Our members are inspired and motivated not only to achieve exceptional academic accomplishments, but also to make a positive impact on our world through the society's commitment to service."

Golden Key is the premier college/university honor society in the world, with more than 1.7 million members and 353 chapters.

The global non-profit organization provides academic recognition to college juniors and seniors in the top 15 per cent of their class as well as leadership development opportunities, community service, career networking and scholarships. Membership into the society is my invitation only, to students in all fields of study.
