Hokes celebrate 50th anniversary

Maribel and Martin Hoke celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Russell Rasmussen, 902 Ave. K. Hosting the special occasion were the Rasmussens and the couple's son and daughter-in-law, Will and Ellen Hoke of Houston. The couple also have one grandson, Tyler Rasmussen.

Copious arrangements of fresh flowers, including calla lilies, roses, hydrangeas and mums decorated the home. Music was provided by Ted Lashley with special music by Betty Gibson and daughter Elizabeth Rasmussen.

Maribel Vogel and Martin Hoke were married Oct. 19, 1957 at First United Methodist Church in San Angelo with Dr. Ennis Hill officiating.

The couple made their first home in Fort Worth. Later they moved to Brenham where they lived from 1960- 65 until moving to El Campo.

Martin is retired from the ag chemical marketing business, but remains active in his insurance business. Maribel is active in real estate investment.
