Kaspars given surprise dinner for 50th wedding anniversary

Tony and Georgie Kaspar were surprised with a dinner celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at Greek Bros.

The special occasion was hosted by their children and spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Children include Linda Dyson and husband Clay of La Salla, Darlene Sparks and husband Dennis of Sugar Land, Monica Saha and husband Stephen of Kilgore and David Kaspar and wife Lori of Schertz.

The couple have seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Yellow roses, 50th engraved balloons and gold and white balloons decorated the table, as well as a white and chocolate cake iced in white confection with yellow roses on top.

Tony Kaspar and Georgie Kucera were married Oct. 19, 1957 at 9 a.m., in Wharton. They honeymooned in Galveston.

The reception, an all day event, was held at Plainview Hall. They made their home in El Campo.

Tony is retired from the oil field business and served in the Navy on board the USS Louis. Georgie is a housewife.
