Reward offered for tips in truck vandalism case

Officials are offering a reward for help finding the person who did felony damage to a pickup earlier this month.

West Wharton County Crime Stoppers will pay cash to anonymous callers who help them find the suspects in the crime, which took place on the night of Oct. 6 or morning of Oct. 7 attheStone Ridge Apartments, 202 West Loop.

Accord- ingtoEl Campo Po- lice Department Of- ficer Cindy Howell, who is also the Crime Stoppers coordinator, someone went to a white 2003 GMC Sierra pickup in the apartment's parking lot. They wrote on the truck and poured sugar in its gas tank, causing about $1,500 in damage.

Damage at that level is a felony.

West Wharton County Crime Stoppers will pay cash rewards for information leading to the arrest and grand jury indictment of persons charged with any felony.
